This is probably not the group in which to ask (Django is a web
framework) but... The Dabo effort may be closest (they were trying to
model Visual FoxPro development).

At lower levels... Access is really just a GUI front-end form and
report writer; the (normal) database is really JET (Access Data Projects
use SQL Server for the database).

{caveat: I've not done anything with Dabo}
