And by the way, if thats the full code you will quickly realize that you won't see any child widgets in your DualList (Buttons, etc) as they are not physically attached to that (currently missing) root DOM element. 

When subclassing Widgets you normally work on the DOM element level. If you want to compose existing Widgets you should use Composite or extend/use any of GWT's *Panel classes, e.g. FocusPanel, because Panels already have the logic implemented needed to hold child widgets. 

So you might not want to restrict your DataEntry to FocusWidgets.
