No Simple Map anymore

Today, I noticed that the Map view of google Map APi is not available
anymore.
I use the API in C++. But even in the example
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/examples/geocoding-simple.html
does not work.
Only, Hybrid and Terrain work.
What is changed?
