Actually..it was that way when I hooked on to it. Shrug...it appears to
be jammed for some reason...lol and the previous owner bent it. Sheared
off one of the bolt heads actually. But..it doesnt drag on anything.

Ive got a 6" rise. Unfortunately..its in my van in Ontario.
Btw..Im trying to find a place to put a 20' travel trailer and live in
it during stretches of time. Some place really really cheap, or
someplace I can take machine repair etc in lue of rent. Know of any
plce in So. Cal..let me know. Ive got to move it by next Friday. After
that..Ill be sleeping in my truck if I cant find a place..preferably
inside a yard somewhere. 110 power would be nice..shrug..but not an
actual requirement. Ive got lanterns...shrug again.

Has the rail link reduced the number of such on the Stuart

Just one improvement:
Can you post a link to the explanatory txt file, and to the pix themselves?
Save us the inconvenience of searching for them...

Loading that many cattle would take hours. I'm curious, why doesn't each
truck just leave as its loaded? I don't see an advantage to everyone driving
so close together. All but the front truck has a terrible view and eats
dust. <If you aren't the lead dog, the view never changes>

The way I read the site: They sell small kits contain one case, 9
drill bits, and 9 taps. The large kit has 18 bits, 18 taps, and one
case.
I'm wondering why there is a nearly $20 difference in price.

When buying cam followers ALWAYS add a B to the end of the part
number, this is B for Broached, as in a broached hex hole for an

I used to put a lot of oil in the hinge and let it drain, but now I put a
thinish layer on the pin. Enough oil stays in the hinge that I don't need to
reapply for some years.
Some kinds of grease also slowly drool oil, and these kinds of grease could work
on a hinge.
The advantage of hypoid oil is that it is designed to handle sliding
metal-to-metal contact, and has the additives to prove it.
There must be a way to use STP here.

In a crack on the 30 y/o asphalt kitchen linoleum tiles. I think that
drip was the reason I went to Future acrylic floor "wax", and I've
used the wonderful stuff ever since.

My latest test has lasted 8 years without needing reapplication. I did
the doors when I moved in and none of them squeaks or catches in the
slightest yet. No fuss, no muss, no drips, no smell, no maintenance.
Works for me. I think it's StaLube moly wheel bearing grease, and I
haven't had a single callback for a squeak returning yet.

Yes, probably, and they would cause extra maintenance from drips.

Yes, those yummy smelling hypoid additives. Har! Most of my doors are
hollow and don't require much from a grease (surface loading is
guaranteed to be less than that on a differential gear) so I'll
continue to avoid hypoid, thanks. Besides, most squeaking comes not
from the rubbing between the pin and hinge leaf, but from the flaking
rust dropping into the wear areas. Both our lubes should prevent it.
>There must be a way to use STP here.
Oh, you're just a glutton for punishment, aren't you, Joe? <vbg>
Why don't we teflon-treat our door pins? "Folks, for only $499.95, we
can do yer doors. Lifetime guarantee." (We'll be out of bidness long
before that.) Or what about ball bearing hinges? That's the ticket!

Right. One has to wait for the leadscrew to turn to the correct angle for the
nut to engage. One way to do this is to watch the threading dial and operate
the lever only when the dial says it's time. After a little practice this
become a fluid motion.

Not going in a truck. I'm setting it up in my workshop, I've decided to just
setup a couple deep cycle batteries with a 24 volt forklift charger to run
the inverter.

That isn't true. Atheism isn't believing in god. It has nothing to
do with providing answers. I don't pretend to have the answers
because to be perfectly honest, I don't know what the questions are...

"They"? That's presuming that atheists are a homogenized group that
follow a common belief. Most atheist don't belong to an organized
group and think all of the religious BS is for other people and aren't
particularly fazed by it.
It seems like the people that get upset about the 10 commandments, or
xmas in the mall or whatever actually belong to some type of religion
that takes exception to it.

Just finished reading "Conquering Gotham - Building Penn Station and Its
Tunnels"
An excellent read on both construction practices and the incredible
corruption that infiltrated New York politics during the early 1900's.
In the book the author states that engineers began digging the tunnels on
opposite shores to eventually meet in the middle.
And they used a 30 foot tower on one shore as a fixed alignment point.
So exactly how does one use an above ground alignment tower while deep in
the muck under a river?
Amazingly the tunnel sections eventually met with a variance of only
1/8"!!!!!!!

I don't need to look, I know what the machines look like.
You replied to my post about generator parts, welding generator parts
availability with a comment about the engine charging system. Pretty simple
really, I'm talking about the generator. On a welding machine. A really
critical part.
