I didn't have a budget until I saw the top-end outdoor fixtures. At the
other end of the scale is $5.00/dozen Chinese crap. So, now I feel that I
will stay under $300 total. What does "captain of industry" have to do with
anything? And, if I was "trolling", why did you respond?

When did anyone in the U.S. start murdering "babies"? Shit-canning a
parasitic organism isn't killing a baby.

I was down in a shop in Tustin a few years back, checking out a Smith
Lehman lathe...8" spindle bore. I was laying on my back on a concrete
floor, meter in hand checking something, and reached up and grabbed the
machine to pull myself up..and ZAPPPPPP!

There I was, doing a pretty good imitation of a marlin on 200 lb test
and one of the guys came over and kicked my arm hard enough to break my
grip.

The owner came running over about the same time, busted into a hard
sweat.

After laying there a minute or two, getting the ol heart beat back to
somewhere close to normal...I told him it really needed a decent ground,
after I found out where the short to machine was, and that plastic
really didnt make good machine feet insulators if he didnt have a good
ground. I killed power, found the problem, repaired it, installed a
good ground (he was using 3 wire instead of 4 wire) and installed a new
cable up to the disconnect on the wall. And a good ground.

One of the operators commented...."ya know...I tot I vas feeling a
little tingle ven I cranked da levers..but only ven I vor my going home
shoes (leather soles)"

Crom but I hate cheap bastards.

I noticed you said they found it in a field? Sort of a strange place to
find that, but they have been around a long time. Maybe a grass fire or
a house on the land years ago.

I got one just like you're describing at Sears, years ago. Also ought
to be able to get one at NAPA.

That is a truly minimized design- gear and finger from the same piece

Thanks Bruce. Im still looking in OC. The Hobart is up north at my
homestead...along with me. I got home about an hour or so ago at 2am.

The van is now parked in a buddies yard behind his big machine shop, at
least for a month or so. Tags expired while I was in the hospital a year
ago after the stroke..I was messed up mentally after that little medical
experiment and completely forgot I even owned a van, until someone asked
about it..and I said "what van?"..and they reminded me. So now the
tags are 2 yrs out of date. And with the fucking California
penalties..those $208 a year tags plus the $90 smog check...its gonna
stay parked for a while. Might pull out the racking and try to get it
registered as a house car or some such.
Hell of a lot cheaper.

It was on a small 4 wheel dolly..and the new owner decided to fuck with
it and managed to dump it off the dolly. Busted the hell out of his leg
when he got trapped under it.

I have several of that type and the gooseneck variant in different
sizes that I ground thin and belt-sanded smooth to loosen trim and
pull nails. Dark blue import ones that cost $3 have held up well for
this or other projects that needed a little chunk of hardened flat bar
stock.

Sounds a lot like the beekeepers little pry I have . They use it to loosen
the frames in a hive , and except for the length fits your description .
Have you looked at the "wonder bar" flat prybars ? They also fit your
description ...

Maybe you could modify a shingle ripper into a pry bar, since the
prying force will be pretty low.

Seems like getting the pry bar in there, then getting a fulcrum in
near it might get the nails out with a straighter pull?

Bar in, pull bar down a little, insert fulcrum (on a longish handle),
then push bar up towards the ceiling.

Looks like the dumb fuck was calling Lincoln (R) a Liberal Progressive.

Think it actually needs an explaination? Slugs work better than
buckshot when one needs to put leaks in motor vehicles and their
contents.

Shrug
