[android-developers] Update that is "not signed appropriately"

Some users are reporting me that they can't update the application because the application is not signed appropriately.

1/ I tried jarsigner on the new apk, and it returns "jar verified".

2/ I installed a old version of my apk with adb, and successfully updated to the latest version using the android market.

My questions are:

When you upload an update to the android market, does it check if the update is correctly signed ?

If not, how can I check if the application is signed the same way as a previous version?
