The way it works is you have to go to school long enough to be indoctrinated
with liberalism. When they brainwash you enough to fit the mold of a
liberal then they tell you that you are thinking for yourself. If you have
any opinion that disagrees with modern liberalism as taught in schools, then
you are not thinking for yourself. Liberals think for themselves and give
the indoctrinated cookie cutter answer, and anyone that comes up with their
own answer isn't thinking for themselves.

There are times that I'd like to smash my TV and computer, buy some fishing
rods and a banjo, and go live in a cabin.

But I'm hooked.

So how did you escape all of this, Roger? 'Raised by wolves, were you? Or
didn't you go to school long enough for all of that to happen?

I completely gave up on my original music station. They have a very
odd tendency to play anything they wished on it. If you added a song
by ABC, it added all songs by them. If you killed a song by xyz, it
killed only that song. Their logic sucks.

I went back to them when they came up with the canned stations. I
listen to the jazz fusion station, new age instrumental station (for
George Winston and Liz Story, primarily), chicago blues station, delta
blues station, string ensemble station (classical, but too for me),
and electric blues station.

I'm really into piano instrumentals this year for some reason.

Alas, nobody reacted to the "month's dishes" taunt. ;)

That's correct. Once you norm for educational achievement level of the
parents, all apparent advantages disappear.

In other words, it's not the home schooling, it's a matter of choosing your
parents wisely.

Meantime, based on the data, it takes 22 times as many teachers to teach a
given group of home-schooled students as to teach a given group of
publically educated students. That's pretty piss-poor productivity.

Right.

Pure speculation on your part.

If you research the ERIC database, or the journals, you'll find hundreds of
studies and academic articles about homeschooling. Look in there. You might
find something that's studied it.

Doesn't the Organic label also allow you to charge quadruple the price
for the same stuff anyone else sells without the label, all while
feeling smug and superior and sustainable and LoCarbon?

I'm checking for wheat allergies so I bought a loaf of wheat-free

checker, I just about crapped my pants when it rang up at $5.19.
I bought it, 'cuz I'm out of bread, but I sure as hell won't be back
for more.

Have you tried a white noise generator? It's much more intelligent.

I think I like the brown/red noise the best. It's kinda like surf, and
it masks my tinnitus best.

I prefer hearing my tinnitus to background irritants like TV and its
incessant commercials, when I hear my tinnitus. Most of the time I can
ignore it and I really like the -lack- of sounds around the house any
more.

I'm such a slut, I sleep with ear plugs, too.

You're so focussed here on rhetoric you imagine to be clever that you
become incoherent. I don't believe they'll do it. I do believe
they'll do it but don't think they actually will. You imply without

Your body of extant posts are ample backup. I'm not going to compile a
bibliography in response to your tantrum and failure to back up your
assertions with anything more substantial than the "yes you have" and
"sure I can but..." as above. I notice that you've ignored backup
I've provided upon your demand when it didn't suit your agenda.

Namecalling, e.g. calling me a liar and weasel, is clear evidence that
you're frustrated by inability to conduct more intelligent discourse.
We're done here, or at least I am.

Isn't Wayne cute and clever? More fun than a cecropia moth in the
microwave, eh?

FYI, Anonymous Wayne lives somewhere near Kingman, AZ. I don't think
it'd take more than a couple of days to find him because he has surely
pissed off some locals with his attitude. Basic fieldcraft would find
his hide quickly enough even for a stranger in town.

Sleep tight, Wayne, don't worry about the Gunner you so love to
antagonize. Don't take him any more seriously than he takes you. He's
an old fart now, senior cackles with senior crones in foxholes at the
VFW with bingo on the comms when our hearing aids work. If you hear a
banjo at zero dark hundred in your remote hide, sing along and enjoy!

You can buy some of them from Campbell Hausfeld. A lot of the parts
are industry standard but some people are too lazy to look for
replacements, so they steal parts from a store. The OEM compressor head
is rated for 5,000 hours of service. The only problem my friends had
out of either was a worn out pressure switch, which isn't made by
Campbell Hausfeld. For my needs, it should last me a LONG time. :) I
have four Ac powered compressors, and two 12 volt compressors. One of
the AC compressors needs rebuilt, but it was another freebie. It only
has a 10 to 15 gallon tank, so I haven't even looked at it. My dad has
a Craftsman direct drive that appears to have a sheared drive pin. The
motor runs, but the compressor doesn't. I have to pick it up next week
and see if it's worth fixing. I don't like direct drive compressors, but
I have two small units. One is oilless, and is only used to clean the
dust out of computers & printers. I'll have to put a filter & water trap
on the Husky, to use it for painting my projects.

The Campbell Hausfeld website, http://www.chpower.com has manuals and
parts lists for a lot of older models, and they sell the parts online,
or through local service centers. There are three, within 10 miles of
me.

This part of the article below fascinates me.....

"Police Capt. Walter Allmon expressed similar outrage. He said a flier
promoting the HoMeBoY is disturbing because it's designed to appeal to
young black men, who often are the victims of gun violence in Richmond
and elsewhere."

What it doesnt say..and avoids completely..is that young black men are
most always the KILLERS of other young black men.

Rather sad to see that issue avoided like the plague..isnt it?
